Dick Spotted
Heinz Spotted Dick

It's actually pretty tasty, zapped for 30 second and with a little maple syrup drizzled on top. Despite being a pudding, the texture is like a really moist, crumbly cake.

You may want to strike the phrase, "Despite being a pudding," since in the UK a really moist crumbly cake is a pudding. Pudding here and pudding there are two entirely different things.

Hmmm.

Curious; may have to look into that.

Pudding is a generic term for dessert not a creamy milk product. By this vein, your pudding could be pudding.. you could also have trifle for pudding or chocolate fondue! It's sort of equivalent to the Georgia "I'll have a coke... what kind?? A sprite"

Except in Georgia they're wrong. Coke is Coke, and they have a company situated there to tell them so. If they want to drink coke they're more than welcome to do so.

However, you were right that we use "pudding"* as a generic term for the dessert course of a meal.

"What's for pudding, Mum?"

*Unless it's Yorkshire Pudding, which is a main course component. Or Black Pudding, which is for breakfast....
